Can place hierarchy display be configured in app.conf

Is it possible to configure the display of ca_places hierarchy (showing full path like "Argentina → Santa Fe → Rosario" instead of just "Rosario") directly in the app.conf file rather than modifying individual display configurations?

I'm looking for a global setting that would apply the hierarchy display across all instances where places are shown, without having to modify each display configuration separately.

If this is possible, what would be the proper syntax in app.conf?

Do you mean, in Providence or in the detail page of a place in Pawtucket?

If it's in detail page of a place, in Pawtucket, you have to edit the ca_places_default_html.php in the /themes/<your_theme>/views/Details/ directory.
Insert this:
{{{^ca_places.hierarchy.preferred_labels%delimiter=_➜_}}}
somewhere you want to display it.

In Providence, I need to display the complete place hierarchy in ca_places (e.g., "Argentina → Santa Fe → Rosario") similar to how ca_storage_locations shows full paths.

Currently ca_places only shows the bottom-level name. How can I configure ca_places to display the full hierarchical path like storage locations do?

So, you can add the "Hierarchy navigation" bundle in the user interface of Place.
Go to Manage > Administration > User Interface > Place editor and there in the "Basic infos" screen, add the "Place Location in hierarchy" bundle at the top of the list. Save. You should now see the complete hierarchy path when you are in the edit page of any place.
