Unknown file type not accepted by media Windows Server 2008

Hi,

When I try to upload a pdf to the media section I get an error: "Unknown file type not accepted by media". I'm using a Windows environment (IIS 7) to host Collective Access.

Second issue are the uploaded movies. The movies aren't playing in Collective Access or Pawtucket, the flash player is certainly installed but not seen by the system.

In attachment 2 screenshots, the first is the system check and the second is a screenshot of the movie.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

What version are you using? That information would be in the part of the Configuration Check display that you cropped out.

In terms of PDF uploads, do all PDFs exhibit this behavior? Password protected PDFs are generally rejected by the underlying PDF libraries we use. Perhaps you can try uploading one of your failing PDF to http://demo.collectiveaccess.org Does it work there?

The pdf is uploading correctly on http://demo.collectiveaccess.org.

Can you try setting the dont_use_imagemagick_to_identify_pdfs setting in app.conf to 1? That might help.
