pawtucket search by date does not work

Our website has been up and running for six months now and I'm embarrassed to say that I only just noticed that the Advanced Search date function does not work.

I have always just assumed that if one enters a year or a range of years, that pawtucket would show results of all records (unless parameters are narrowed) that have a ca_objects.date data point. How could this not be working?

hdace check that your objects record has a ca_objects.date and the advanced search form is actually searching ca_objects.date and not some other code (they need to match). The default Pawtucket theme is meant to be edited based on your install profile, the date code can be different across profiles.

Thanks monica for sending me in the right direction, but it turned out to be a spelling mistake.

should be
{{{ca_objects.date.dates_value%width=200px&height=40px&useDatePicker=0}}}

when I made this correction the function started working correctly

hdace Just to be clear, it’s not a typo, as other profiles probably use dates instead of date. Unless you are very lucky to install the profile that goes with default perfectly, then you should make your own theme. Don’t edit default, as all your edits will be lost as soon as you upgrade. The default theme is more of a base theme that other themes are built from and gives you a starting point.
