How to record the status of various stages of cataloging an object?

I have a working CollectiveAccess (v2.09) installation with about 1500 objects imported, along with entities, storage locations, collections, etc. When objects (i.e. artifacts) come into the museum, a number of tasks may need to be done to before they are considered fully part of the collection. These might include things like cleaning, attaching a physical label, etc. So that everyone is aware of the progress made with each item, I'd like to record the status of each of these tasks but am not sure where might be best or appropriate (in Providence at least, maybe Pawtucket too).

Could this type of progress tracking be recorded using the existing intrinsic table/field structure or does it perhaps need customization?

Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks for your help

Berney you’ll need to create new fields and containers for your procedures. Where you add these fields (objects, lots, new occurrence type), depends on your own procedural workflows.

Berney you’ll need to create the metadata elements and add them to the user interface. See the following documentation

You might need to look up making lists for statuses.
