I am working on a digital collections project using CollectiveAccess, and I have hit a hurdle. What I am trying to do is integrate logs from an external source (some type of usage logs from a web app) into the CollectiveAccess backend to analyze how certain assets are being accessed or referenced over time.
Has anyone attempted anything similar? Has anyone used an external tool (like Splunk) to do this? I just finished a splunk course recently and am wondering if I could use it to improve the reporting or tracking functionality of CollectiveAccess (maybe through plugins or APIs).
While I am not necessarily looking for real-time syncing, it would be really useful if I could import (periodically) or visualize the log at least from an external source.
It would be great to get any help anyone has experience doing this or maybe a documentation or plugin that might help in connecting external data sources to CollectiveAccess.
