History tracking issues after setting source access checking

I have two installations, one for testing purposes and one as a live installation.
They both have the same history tracking policy (they have the same app.conf file in the local folder)
For both history tracking worked fine and the current location was visible in the inspector view.

After setting source access checking ( setting perform_source_access_checking = 1 in app.conf) the current location is still visible in the testing installation, and dissapeared in the live installation.
Disabling perform_source_access_checking makes the current location visible again in the live installation.

Does anyone have a clue where to start looking for the reason the current location dissapears in my live installation?

can you open storage locations with source access on? i’m assuming you don’t have source set in storage locations, so you can’t access them, resulting in an error

I have not solved the issue yet but it is related to the source set in storage locations.
I the test environment the current location also dissapears if I pick a location without specific source set.
In the live installation it reappears if I pick a location with the source set.
I am now looking for a way to set a source to my existing locations in batch. (The could all be set to general or something like that by default), but failed to find a way to add all storage locations to a Set for batch editing.
Any ideas about that?

remco If you go to FInd > Storage Locations and search for all using wildcard '*', then it should return all records and you can then add them to a set from there.

To add to the above: I can open storage locations with source access on because I have set a default value for my role for storage locations in Access control --> Access roles.

The Find> storage locations with wildcard * did not work at first (maybe for the same reason the current location was not showing) but I found a workaround with Browse results.
After setting a source for all storage locations and reindexing search Find> storage locations with wildcard * works as expected.
Consider this issue solved.
