Hi,

How does "Art & Architecture Thesaurus (aat_vocabulary)" work?

The plugins for GeoNames and for the Library of Congress work fine, but I don't get the Getty AAT plugin to work.

Does this plugin work similarly to GeoNames and the Library of Congress,, in the sense that you can search and select metadata from the displayed results.

I've read some post realted to this, but all seem to point to broken links. The https://manual.collectiveaccess.org/providence/user/dataModelling/metadata/informationServices.html?highlight=informationservice#example-lc-installation-profile-code page does not help me much.

The goal I have is to come out with a CDWA schema for an artwork collection, and I want to try the available resources.

carlosTF The simplest way is to create a metadata element of type 'informationService' and select 'AAT' as the service. This should give you a search box that when you enter atleast 3 characters it will give you back a lookup list of results. If you want to limit the AAT vocabularies it's searching, then it gets trickier, where you enter in the AAT identifier into the limit to hierarchy option

monica It has worked, thank you.

Now I'm struggling with locales; I've created a metadata entry to search and store the AAT keywords, which in turns allows the search in Pawtucket also. The gol here is to enable visitors to search in other languages.

I don't believe AAT is available in other languages. You would need to catalogue each field in the languages you require to support, it wont happen automatically (as far as I know)
