carlosTF When uploading images including metadata, Providence seems to remove any character with tilde or not show it. Are there any restrictions with tildes and other ASCII characters such as "ñ" or "ç"? Thanks.
seth Non-ascii characters and characters with meaning to the underlying operating system are replaced with underscores in the recorded filename. This does not have impact on any extracted embedded metadata.
carlosTF In the Providence I installed locally, a metadata string such as "Óleo sobre tela" will be shown as "leo sobre tela", the "Ó" missing.
seth It trims leading and trailing underscores as well. If this is a problem for you please create a new GitHub issue for it an we'll work it into the next release.
