"Something Went Wrong" errors for Browse, Object Grid

Hello,

We are dealing with some snags after our webhost migrated our C/A instance and site to a new server.
There is a non-specific error message when trying to browse objects like so:

Also, anywhere there is an object grid (related entities, events, etc.) the same error displays.

Our Collection index page is also giving the same error:

Looking at the log, the most recent input is this:

Something missing? One issue we had was that the migration did not migrate over the SQL user, so after recreating it I was able to get into Providence and view Pawtucket.

Hi,
A clue is also that above the "Something went wrong" message, the logo image is not displayed.
This looks like something is lost in the path to the right files.
Which version of CA is running? Which version of PHP?
Some ideas:

Check that all php modules are activated, regarding the execution of .htaccess files.
It may be that the local server tree has changed, have you checked the hard-coded paths in the configuration files?
Have all file access rights been set correctly for the user running the web server?
Did you have any symbolic links somewhere that may have been broken during the transfer?
Check that the rights are correct on all tables in the SQL database, for the web server user.
Clean the cache files (/app/tmp).

(By the way, your collection contains some very beautiful documents!)

I will look at the suggested below - which did give me an Aha!
The symlink to the media folder should probably be reset. But if that was an issue, I shouldn't be able to see any media at all right? Everything looks ok until I get to a page using an object grid - then even the site css doesn't seem to be in effect correctly.
We are running CA vs. 2.0 on PHP 7.4.33, AlmaLinux 8

Look for errors in your web server logs (Apache or nginx), this should give a clue what’s going on. If you haven’t already, turn on show stack traces in setup.php during this debug phase (turn off once fixed)

Thanks Monica. I just looked at the Apache log and I can't make sense of anything. This is what I see repeated in past days as well:

Update: The error log I needed first was the Php log. The Apache log didn't provide anything useful. We did update to Php 8 since our webhost support said there seemed to be a conflict with the php coding or the cms we were using.
However... The same issue persists. It is odd. We reverted back to 7.4.3 and are requesting a resync in case something didn't get carried over in the migration. The errors are being thrown from C/A but no helpful details in the log as shown above. All permissions and required extensions were checked. It makes me think some data/files are missing and a resync might help, so I'll update again once that has completed.

When getting error log’s, try running ‘tail -f /var/log/<filname>’ replacing filname with the error log file name. Then loading the page you are seeing issues with. The error directly connected with the issue should show in your terminal.

Places to look for errors are Apache error log, or php error log (see php-fpm if using this), CA logs

If you have upgraded from an old version of CA and PHP, you will need to check your Pawtucket theme to ensure it’s compatible.

A few others to keep in mind when migrating servers:

Clear caches (app/tmp or the redis/memcached )
Do a composer update, especially if you have moved PHP versions or CA versions.
Check pawtucket version matches providence.

This has been resolved by our web host. Something with privileges and permissions and the original custom SQL database didn't get migrated over because it wasn't part of the Cpanel, so it had to be mapped into the Cpanel to be able to see/modify anything. This is why the logs weren't showing much. After they did that, whatever was null started working again.

However...the one new glitch is that I can't upload pdfs... Nothing seems different in the configuration check.

Also wondering if updating to Php 8 is recommended now? I updated C/A to 2.0 a few months ago but the server is still using Php 7.4.33 .
