Hi,
In my opinion, you can choose the simplest metadata model, DublinCore, which already includes basic metadata for objects such as “idno” (inventory number), title, date, dimensions, description, source. It also includes people (owners, authors, etc.), places, storage locations or even information, trips, loans, which you can link to objects. Each of these elements has its own basic metadata already planned.
And of course, you can also manage the media (representations, images) of the objects.
You can create/add metadata as needed, what information you want to keep.
CollectiveAccess is very powerful and very configurable software, if you take the time to explore it. Not all features are mandatory, you can deactivate those you don't use.
