Hello, if want to move where all .mp4 files are stored, I understand that I need to update the quicktime entry in Media_volumes.conf

So if I update quicktime to use a urlPath of <ca_media_url_root>/alternative/quicktime
and then move all the directories and files from media/collectiveaccess/quicktime to media/collectiveaccess/alternative/quicktime

will the system seamlessly now retrieve all .mp4 files in the new location?

If so, going forward, will new .mp4 files uploaded go to the new location, or do I need to update something in media_processing.conf?

Hi,
I think the programmers did it right, so I would be tempted to answer yes 😅
Don't forget to edit app/conf/media_volumes.conf for Providence and Pawtucket.

I can confirm that a physical move to the directory stated in media_volumes.conf works fine for existing and new uploads
