504 Gateway Timeout error on export to Excel (large dataset)

Version: Ca 1.8 (Develop)

PHP version 7.4

Shared hosting

If I try to export search or browse results with a result of over ca 500 items I get a 504 Gateway Timeout error.

The hosting server is set to allow scripts to run up to 15 minutes.

I cannot change the webserver settings, only the PHP settings (partly)

Are there any PHP settings that would influence/solve this behaviour?

? Try to increase it. (I guess you'll need to relaunch webserver...)

The web server is timing out waiting for the file to generate. Changing php.ini won't help this. What web server is this hosting running? Apache or nginx.

FWIW we're in the process of adding background processing for long/large reports. This will be a workaround issues with long-running processes like this. Still, a 500 row Excel file shouldn't be timing out, I think?

The web server is Apache

The settings for Apache done by the hosting provider apearrently needed to be verified (something about a load balancer).

Before that it was timing out at 60 seconds. It all works fine now.

Was completely related to hosting provider settings.
