Type Restrictions Sub-Element

Hi!

I created a new metadata element (container) with sub-elements (various datatypes). Now the type restrictions set in the container always automatically correspond with the ones in the sub-elements. I'm wondering if it isn't possible to set there different type restrictions?

I wanted to create a big metadata element "date" with various sub-elements adapted to the differentiated needs applying in different contexts (e.g. exhibition, letter...)

In the current version type restrictions only apply to the container as a whole, so setting restrictions on a sub-element just sets the restrictions for the container. We're working on changing this in 1.8 such that you can have sub-element type restrictions if you wish. This work is largely complete and we're testing it now with a set of users. I'll let you know when it makes it into the mainline code.
