Geo Names not working

I haven't been able to use Geo Names because of the following error: "Connection to GeoNames with username "enter_your_username_here" was rejected with the message "user does not exist.". Check your configuration and make sure your GeoNames.org account is enabled for web services." Any suggestions on how to correct this?

You should create an account at Geoname.org, then set your Geonames username in app.conf using the "geonames_user" setting.

Is this still the way this works? I've set my Geonames user name in app.conf and no dropdown list is shown.

@carlosTF Please make sure you are using the latest 2.0.1 release. An issue was present in 2.0.0 that would cause Geonames to fail.

Does updating require a full git clone installation? I'm concerned about changes made on .conf and other files, as well as folder permissions that I had to adjust in the first installation.

Updating from 2.0? If you you'll need to at the least copy the changed files into your install. If you are using Git and keep you .conf modifications in app/conf/local just doing a git pull should be sufficient.
