Data Exporter Uploading Issues

Hi all,

I am working on an export map for Dublin Core XML, and after making some edits, I need to add the new version to the export list in Providence. I can't do this though; after selecting, "add exporters" and copying the file, it just "uploads" 12KB, but the file is never confirmed as being added, and doesn't appear in the export list. I don't think anything is actually being uploaded. I'm not sure what to look for regarding issues and solutions.

We're using Version 1.7.5 of Collective Access, and I've had this issue in both Chrome and Firefox, latest versions.

Possibly related, but maybe not: We were hosting Providence on Debian Jessie and very recently up

Excuse me, we migrated our Providence instance to Debian Stretch recently, from Debian Jessie

The upload will skip if there are validation issues. Have you seen any messages to that effect?

I have not seen any messages regarding validation issues. To be honest, I haven't seen any messages when attempting this. Would they appear on the same page as the data export manager, or are they in a log somewhere?

Your mapping uploaded perfectly in my test environment. Are you sure the server permissions are set correctly?

I am not sure about the server permissions. Because we updated the OS, it's possible that something changed. What should I look for when checking the permissions?

We suspect it is indeed the server permissions, but we don't know where to look to see if that is the case. Are the permissions in a config file, or am I missing something?

Your webserver should own the /tmp folder

Hello! So, we figured out what was wrong. The server was actually missing a Zip library. Everything's fixed; thanks so much for the help!

I have the same problem trying to load an exporter in version 1.7.11 ...
"the file is never confirmed as being added, and doesn't appear in the export list."

The permissions on /tmp are good.

I wonder if the server is missing the Zip library as mentioned by CarolineHayden?
How can I confirm that and which Zip library needs to be installed?
